WHY AL-AZHAR UNIVERSITY OF EGYPT HAS NON-ISLAMIC STUDY FACULTIES




There are hints and information about science and technologies in the Holy Qur'an , and moslem has to reveal in action. The among the information are :

God who grows plants from rain water

 [الأنعام: 99]
And He is the one who sends down rain from the sky, and We grow it with all kinds of plants. So We remove it from plants that are verdant plants. We remove it from many green grains; and from the vines the temples break down the stalks, and vineyards, and (we remove them) olives and pomegranates which are similar and not similar. Pay attention to the fruit when the tree bears fruit and (note also) its maturity. Verily in that there are signs for those who believe. [Al-An'aam: 99]
* Mayang: Palm flower cob (coconut, palm, areca nut, etc. which are wrapped in shrouds).

And We sent down from the clouds of water which were poured out so that We would grow with them grain and plants and thick gardens. [An-Naba ': 14-16]

He has sent down the rain from the sky for you, and has become a drink, and a portion of it for fertilizing plants, for which you graze your cattle. He grows for you with rain, plants; olives, dates, grapes and all kinds of fruits. Verily in that there is indeed a sign (power of God) for those who think. [An-Nahl: 10-11]

Then with the water, we grow for you gardens of dates and wine; in the gardens you get lots of fruit and you eat some of the fruit. And the wood comes out of Mount Sinai (the olive tree), which produces oil, and eats food for those who eat. [Al-Mu'minuun: 19-20]

{أولم يروا أنا نسوق الماء إلى الأرض الجرز فنخرج به زرعا تأكل منه أنعامهم وأنفسهم أفلا يبصرون} [السجدة: 27]
Do they not pay attention, that we cast out (clouds that contain) water to a barren earth, and we grow it with rain water from plants which feed on their livestock and themselves. Do they not pay attention? [As-Sajdah: 27]
