In the first period microbiology is focusing on studying the life of microorganism (bacteria, fungi, protozoa, alga, and virus). The organisms are unseen with naked eyes and they can only be seen through microscope. Nowaday the study of microbiology extending to cope the physiology and chemical of chromosome and the genetics of creatures

Tiny organism created by Allah SWT commonly called microorganism. The study consists living microorganism belong to Eukaryotes as fungi and prostists kingdom (protozoa, algae), and Prokaryotes as bacteria and certain algae .
Viruses are also studied in microbiology. In the middle ages muslim established schools and libraries and gained the golden ages. The centres of excellent were spread between Baghdad in the Middle East and Cordoba and alhamra in Andalusia (Spain), Scholars from around the world came to the centres, and the western were still in darkness of sciences knowledge, they came and learn from muslim scholars.
Westerner brought experiences and they developed further what they got from the muslim. And it was claimed that microorganisms was first observed by Antony van Leeuwenhoek in 1676. He developed an apparatus that magnify the image of things this is called microscope. With this microscope faster the development of microbiology.
Aknowledged by westerners that Ibnu Haytham (965-1039) was muslim scholar who was the first thought, did research and had written book about optic. The famous book is entitle Kitab al-Manazir or Book of Optics. Ibnu Haytham gave the foundation and principle for the development innovation in optics. He established the modern scientific methodology.
In microbiology Ibnu Sina his complete name Abu ‘Ali al-Husayn ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Sina ابوعلی سینا atau ابن سینا (981-1037) or in the period 7 centuries before Anthony van Leeuwenhoek and Louis Pasteur and other westerns scholars thought microorganisms, Avecenna had written an encyclopedia of medicine famous known Al-Qanun Fi Al-Thibb (Inggris: the Canon of Medicine) Al-Qanun Fi Al-Thibb mis medical encyclopedia consisting of 14 volumes, and he also wrote کتاب الشفاء Kitabu As-Shifa atau Book of Healing.
