Association of Indonesian Farmers
There are organization of agricultural associations. One of them is the Association of Indonesian Farmers Integrated Pest Management) founded since 1999.This association is a model of type agricultural rural development in Indonesia. I present it to introduce a development of agriculture.
This asssociation initiated the Farmers Joglo. Joglo farmer association is a learning institution that become a vehicle for integrateing farmers which is open to the general public of farmers. Farmers who live in the subdistrict of Joglo Mandungan, Margoluwih Village, Sub-district Sayegan, Sleman regency, Yogyakarta.
The management of the Foundation's community developed a program providers of Indonesian named the Indonesian-Wake Village, the managements have paid a visit to Joglo. Representatives of the Foundation's board with eight alumni of IBD. The cool air and beautiful scenery surrounding makes the visit a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Housed in the joglo.
"In developing agriculture it should be farmers development, directly involved, in the village center." it is also added that agriculture is the source of human welfare. If agriculture developed, it was a prosperous man. Because of that, it is founded the Farmers Joglo in order to demonstrate to the public that welfare can be realized through the farm. The concept of integrated farming is made, so that in an area of 8,000 square meters that there are various such as rice cultivation, horticulture plants, fish, and poultry. Such efforts were then made Joglo Farmer confirmed as Farmers and Revival monument was inaugurated by Sultan Hamengkubuwono X (King of Jogyakarta) in 2008. Through the inaugural Farmers Joglo concept can become a model to be developed in various other areas.
Joglo Tani Tani also has a cadre program archipelago, namely agriculture scholarships to underprivileged students and after graduation in Joglo Farmers trained for four years to become a farmer. Currently the number of cadres reached 200 people. Through this visit IBD received a lot of valuable lessons and useful input as a program that has a vision and mission to build Indonesian agriculture.
