Less Food is Produced in This Region
According to the Government definition food is anything that comes from biological sources and water, whether treated or processed or untreated (not processed), which is consumed as a food or drink for human consumption. It is including food additives, food raw materials, and other materials used in the preparation, processing or manufacture of food or drink.
Food is a basic need for huma to be able to sustain life, and therefore adequate food for everyone all the time is proper rights are met. Based on the fact that the problem food needs for the entire population at any time in a region become a major target for the local and national government food policy and of the international agency as Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. Many nationa with a large population face very complex challenges in meeting the food needs of their population
Food is a basic need for humans. Therefore it is a condition for human survival. The availability of food will be very crutial and have social and political important. Countries with agricultural basic as nations in the South-East Asia has a lot of natural resources are abundant of arable land to potentially produce food material, but less food is produced in this region.
This countries should be able to provide food for themselves with suffcient in quantity and quality. But in fact some of countries in this region still need to import from other countries because food production is considered not enough to meet the need for their people. Even Laos and Cambodia, and Indonesia, as the having large rice producing areas in the world have to import rice from other countries to be able to meet the needs of the people.
These condition of food supply in this region should be amended to add the supply of food in the world.
