Communication Technology is  Adopted in Agriculture

The growth of information technology accessibility produces new tools that are necessary for farmers to create an effective collaboration. This helps farmers to participate in the quest for innovation and individual prosperity. Each of these individuals continue to achieve prosperity through work that produced a relentless innovations.

Farmers have the right to reach what they want when they have internet access. ICT makes us feel there is nothing we can not know when the other person know.
Anyone seen the emergence of ICT firms is a threat to the existence of large corporations that have a large capital. Of course this is a threat because of the presence of a network of agriculture, there is no longer capable of monopolized. With the ICT is able to create communities farmer creative in doing innovations.

The role of ICT in agriculture is able to create an innovation that can provide benefits to the community. Some businesses, the disease, pests and pesticide content as a way to overcome them is participatory through sharing mechanism between the scientists and practice man. For example, the human genome project is done through activities on the Internet where every farmer kept up to date data. In addition, some scientists are researching on agricultural productivity published its results of their research under the mechanism of the BIOS (Biological Open Source Licenses). ICT is able to provide a significant effect on the level of productivity of a society that cultivate the field of agriculture. Productivity is related to agribusiness generated by ICT.

Imagine a product from a remote village in Jogjakarta only be considered low because the market does not respond to these products. Imagine corn or rice crops in parts of West Java to bid low because only a handful of games in the market. But what happens when the product is sold in ebuy.com. This is done by cocoa farmers in South Sulawesi. The whole world will see the product and the product has to be purchased at a price probalilitas much higher.

In one of the villages in Jogjakarta, an expatriate organizing villagers to make an item of craft products from local agricultural commodities. Residents are very pleased to be able to work and earn wages from his job making local handicrafts. However, the expatriate does not market its products in the local market. It markets its products through the Internet. As a result, local products can be sold on the international market. Finally Connectivity creates its own market through the boundaries of the conventional market.

ICT also serves to create a market that is much fairer. Markets are never perfect because it always happens biased information in the market. Each of the actors who play in the market have different levels of information between each other that makes the market mechanism is not perfect in the end.
But ICT is able to eliminate these barriers so as to make the market mechanism runs without any actors were harmed or loss something. An example of this problem is certainly the corn farmers in Garut which always brings the entire harvest to the market. The farmers should be looking at the nearest market which are in need of their crops.

When in the market it does not find a buyer, then he will sell his harvest at a discount of up to 50%. It is certainly detrimental to the farmer. Not to mention, the information does not exactly make the farmers to sell their crops to middlemen who rate low price of their agricultural products. Tragically this pattern has been going on for decades. As if there is a "force" of which keep farmers dependent and not always knowledgeable so that they continue to be a farmer, not a farmer entrepreneurs.

The times extremely allows farmers to utilize ICT Infrastructure. A farmer would be able to access information on the price of agricultural products in the international market and domestic market prices. He also does not need to sell their agricultural products to the nearest market because he can be contacted using ICT markets is being shortage of agricultural products. Moreover, farmers do not need to sell their products to middlemen because they get sufficient information  easily.
